En effet, c'est Waters qui écrit et compose l'intégralité de l'album, David Gilmour et Nick Mason étant relégués au rang de simples musiciens de studio et Rick Wright ne faisant plus partie du groupe depuis près de deux ans. Ainsi Gilmour ne chante que sur une seule chanson Not now John.
